JPX-Nikkei 400 comprises companies that are highly appealing to investors and meet the requirements of global investment standards, such as efficient use of capital and investor-focused management perspectives. JPX Market Innovation & Research, Inc. and Nikkei Inc. provide the index.
We have been selected as a constituent of the index in August 2024.

MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index

Since 2019, NHK Spring has been included in the MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index, which is constructed by selecting companies that excel in gender diversity (female empowerment) within their industry sectors for the top 500 stocks by market capitalization (MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 Index). We have also been selected as a target for ESG investment by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

The S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index uses TOPIX, a representative stock price index that shows trends in the Japanese market, as its universe, and determines the weight of constituent stocks by focusing on the status of environmental information disclosure and the level of carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of sales).
By adopting rules such as raising the weight of companies that fully disclose environmental information and companies with high carbon efficiency (low carbon emissions per net sales), the index aims to stimulate environmental initiatives and information disclosure in the market as a whole, thereby revitalizing the stock market.
We have been selected as a constituent of the index in 2018.

Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index

Built with the data and scoring methodology of Equileap, the index is designed to emphasize companies in the Japanese market that have strong gender diversity policies embedded in their corporate culture and that ensure equal opportunities to employees, irrespective of their gender.
We have been selected as a constituent of the index in 2023.

Carbon Disclosure Project

CDP

Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an international NGO established in the U.K.. It requests disclosure of strategies to address climate change and information on greenhouse gas emissions, and publishes an evaluation score .
NHK Spring received a score of “B” in CDP2024 “Climate Change,” the third highest score. A “B” score is defined as the management level and indicates that the company is aware of its environmental risks and impacts and is taking action to address them.

DBJ2024
In November 2024, NHK Spring received an Environmentally Rated Loan Program, from the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ).

DBJ Environmentally Rating

The DBJ Environmentally Rated Loan Program is the world’s first financing menu to incorporate environmental ratings. Using a proprietary screening system, Development Bank of Japan(DBJ) rates enterprises on the quality of their environmental management.
NHK Spring have been evaluated as a “company with advanced environmental initiatives.”
NHK Spring Group remains committed to providing indispensable key parts through its core businesses, while contributing to the realization of a sustainable society and addressing pressing societal issues, including environmental challenges.

Platinum Kurumin Certification

Platinum Kurumin Certification

The "Platinum Kurumin Certification" is a special certification awarded to companies that have received the "Kurumin Certification" from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for meeting certain standards in childcare support. The Platinum Kurumin Certification is given to companies that have significantly advanced the introduction and utilization of work-life balance support systems and are undertaking high-level initiatives.
NHK Spring received this certification in January 2025.

Sports Yell Company, 2024

Sports Yell Company

In 2023, for the fourth year in a row, NHK Spring was recognized as a "Sports Yell Company" by the Sports Agency of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

This program recognizes companies that are actively engaged in the implementation of sports to improve the health of their employees. The program is intended to horizontally expand the initiatives of certified companies to other companies by publicizing them widely, thereby increasing the percentage of businesspersons who participate in sports, and to improve the social reputation of companies that are strategically engaged in employee health management.

Medical Treatment and Work Balance Promotion Company

Kanagawa Medical Treatment and Work Balance Promotion Company

NHK Spring has been certified as a "Platinum Company" that meets all three of Kanagawa Prefecture's criteria for certification as a "Kanagawa Medical Treatment and Work Balance Promotion Company".
This certification is granted to companies and organizations operating in Kanagawa Prefecture that have established leave and work systems that contribute to balancing medical treatment and work so that employees who need cancer treatment can continue their treatment while working.
